Varsity Teams Sweep Sun Sentinel Sports Awards

Varsity soccer at Benjamin has never looked stronger, with the program sweeping the Sun Sentinel All-County Sports Awards. Ford Cash was named boys soccer Player of the Year, joined by Lily White who was named girls Player of the Year. Boys coach Kris Steeves was named Coach of the Year for his leadership of the program. 

The program was further recognized with three girls players named to the First Team All Area: Sofia Balisteri, Emily Simon, and Sam Woods. Madelyn Popilek was named to the Second Team All Area and Vanessa Zito, Sienna Barboni, and Cameryn Grissman received Honorable Mentions. 

Luke Egizio was named to the Second Team All Area for soccer along with Honorable Mentions for Luca Balzano, Luke Casper, Caleb Miller, Zach Neidoff, and Charlie Scotto. 

Varsity basketball also finished the Winter Season strong with three First Team All Area players: Gavin Aydelotte, Taylor Blackshear, and Karolina Ramirez. Sanjae Moncrieffe received an honorable mention for the team.
