College Counseling Hosts 'Junior Jumpstart' Event
The college counseling team hosted the Junior class the morning of March 29 in Benjamin Hall for their annual “Junior Jumpstart” program.
"We've designed the Junior Jumpstart program in order to give students experience and insight into several important components of the college process,” said Associate Director of College Counseling Bekka Goldberg.
Goldberg explained that the counselors had previously met with juniors in their English classes and had at least one individual college meeting.
“This is another opportunity for engagement,” she said of the morning which covered resume writing, researching colleges, and more.
The close to three hour session covered a host of topics that are valuable to the college process.
“We’re so thrilled to have the gift of time to continue supporting the Class of 2024,” Goldberg said.
The junior class left with a 250 word essay assignment that they will submit and workshop with their college counselors.
