Spelling Bee Champions Advance to Regional Competition

Congratulations to middle school spelling bee champion Bryce Weisser who captured the 2017 middle school spelling bee title after spelling the word “zamboni” correctly. Weisser was last year’s spelling bee champion for the lower school. Emilie Dubiel finished runner-up in the annual competition hosted January 25 in the Barker Performing Arts Center.

Weisser will now move on to the Regional Bee on Wednesday, February 22 in Benjamin Hall.

Fifth grader Claire Dinh took home the title of lower school spelling bee champ, after competing against the top three spellers in each of the 4th and 5th grade homeroom classes. Will McDonough was the runner up.
