  • How to Apply

    Families interested in The Benjamin School should contact the Admission Office to request an application packet, or download the necessary forms from our website by clicking on the links below, under Application Requirements by Grade.

    While different grades require different steps, all candidates for admission are asked to visit the campus with their parent(s) or guardian(s), have an interview with a member of our admission team or a division head, schedule testing, and pay a $100 application fee.

  • When to Apply

    Families are encouraged to begin the application process in September.  Students seeking admission for the 2019-2020 school year should note the following dates:
     
    December 1:   Early Application Deadline (for admission notification December 8)
    February 1:     Regular Application Deadline (for admission notification beginning February 15)
     
    We welcome applications throughout the year; however, those received after February 1 will be considered on a space-available basis.
     
  • Admission Policy

    The Benjamin School seeks to ensure an appropriate match between prospective students/families and the mission and philosophy of The School.  The School operates under a fair and consistent set of admission criteria, communicates clearly all aspects of the admission process, and demands the confidentiality of documents and information collected on prospective students.  The School strives to enroll students whose school records and standardized testing predict they will find academic success in our classrooms while exemplifying sound character and contributing their interests and talents to our co-curricular and leadership programs.  

    Enrollment at the School signifies the willingness to be a positive part of our school community and as a result, the sense of community in our student body is contingent upon identifying and enrolling students who desire such a community.  Students who withdraw from the School in good standing are eligible to re-apply for admission after two semesters at another fully accredited academic institution and should note that the conditions of withdrawal will play a role in the decision for re-admission.
