The Benjamin School welcomes applications from students interested in an international educational experience. International students seeking an I-20 should submit an admission application and follow the guidelines for required admission documents.
International students and agents working with international students should contact The Benjamin School Admission Office directly at admission@thebenjaminschool.org. The admission application should be submitted online to begin the admission process.
The Benjamin School considers student applicants for grades 6-11 with a minimum TOEFL score of 85. All applicants are required to take the TOEFL within 12 months of intended enrollment, and scores must be sent directly from ETS. Our school code is B047.
Applicants should submit grades and academic transcripts for the current and previous school year. These documents need to be officially transcribed into English.
Applicants should submit a School Statement, English Teacher Recommendation, and Math Teacher Recommendation. The School Statement must be submitted by a current school administrator, and Teacher Recommendations must be submitted by current English and math teachers. Recommendations from tutors or former teachers are not acceptable. Documents must be completed in English and submitted directly by the applicant’s school to admission@thebenjaminschool.org.
All international applicants are required to visit the school by May 1 as part of the admission process. Applicants will have an in-person interview and complete a writing sample during their campus visit, as well as spend the day in classes with a student host(ess).
International applicant admission files will be reviewed after ALL documents have been received. International students who are offered admission are required to attend a Summer Academic Enrichment class for a minimum of one week.
International students who are offered admission will be issued an Enrollment Contract. When the family returns the Enrollment Contract and $2000 tuition deposit, the School will provide an application for the I-20. When the family completes and returns the I-20 application to The Benjamin School, the School will send the I-20 to the family via overnight mail.
