The Benjamin School is seeking professionals in the community to serve as Internship Supervisors for our students. To help prepare our students for the professional workforce, we require that all students participate in a 40-hour unpaid internship. The purpose of the internship is to give our students an opportunity to experience what it would be like to work in a specific career field. We believe our internship program provides our students with an abundance of benefits:
  • Internships provide our students with real-world experience -The students have the opportunity to work hands-on in a professional environment. They gain a real-world perspective on potential career paths.
  • Students have the opportunity to build their network and resource base.
  • Internship experiences enhance students’ college and professional resumes.
  • Internships provide students with the opportunity to enhance their soft skills which are essential in today’s marketplace - written/verbal communication, teamwork, adaptability, grit, problem-solving, critical analysis, innovation, creativity, conflict resolution, leadership, etc.
The Benjamin School sincerely appreciates your participation in the Internship Program and trusts that hosting an intern will benefit both the student and your organization.
