Leadership PB County Enjoys Immersive Benjamin Experience

Members of the current Leadership Palm Beach County class spent the afternoon of January 9 immersed in The Benjamin Upper School experience. Members of the nonprofit organization travelled to the upper school campus where they enjoyed lunch in the Benjamin Hall lobby, followed by a robotics presentation in Benjamin Hall.

Participants also enjoyed a tour of the new Didsbury Learning Commons, including a hands-on demonstration of the Z-Space virtual reality lab. Following the tour, the Benjineers demonstrated the various projects the robotics team is undertaking. President Cameron Pirozzi explained that the team is not just made up of engineering students, but also those interested in graphic design, marketing, business and leadership.

LPBC aims to unite leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors to build an interconnected community in Palm Beach County. Chief Development Officer Juan Carlos Fanjul ‘93 and Chief Financial Officer Leslie Downs have both participated in the program. Participants spend a year together traveling across the county and exploring different business sectors.

"This was the perfect opportunity to showcase our students, teachers and world-class facilities. This group of community leaders left Benjamin impressed and, perhaps, with a new sense of understanding why TBS is a premier independent school in the region,” said Fanjul.
