Sophomore Michael Scellato Qualifies For National Debate Tournament
Sophomore Michael Scellato has qualified for the National Speech and Debate Association’s National Tournament after an impressive performance Saturday, March 30, at the Florida Oceanfront National Qualifier.
Scellato won the elimination bracket of the Lincoln-Douglas debate after four strong preliminary rounds. He is one of two Lincoln-Douglas debaters from the region who qualified for the National Tournament. The event will feature debate students from across the country and will be held in Dallas, Texas this June.
