BTV News Named Best Program In Florida

BTV News, the Upper School’s television broadcast program, received the 2019 All-Florida award by The Florida Scholastic Press Association. The award recognizes the School’s program as the best in the state.
Judges remarked that the show had a catchy open, slick graphics and strong headline writing.
“ . . . I like how you gave your student body an inside look at something that affects all of them. Strong writing, nice variety of sources and information. You can tell your reporters did their homework and I like how you incorporated MOTS (Man On the Street Interviews),” said one judge.
The program also received special distinctions for writing, audio and anchoring.
“Students of this program worked very hard. Their dedication, attention to detail, and incredible work ethic has paid off. Congratulations to all of them for continuing BTV’s successes for seven consecutive years,” said faculty advisor Ken Archer.
