Philanthropy Thrives At Benjamin

The Benjamin School is a special place which would not be possible if we didn’t have a strong culture of philanthropy. Those were the sentiments shared by Interim Head of School Tom Reid at the second annual Head’s Appreciation Dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in North Palm Beach. The event is the Head of School’s way of saying thank you to our most generous families. During his toast, Reid reminded parents that the group had collectively given gifts of $1.1 Million in the 2018-2019 school year to either Capital, Annual Fund, or BASH. That same group has donated nearly $5 Million over the years.

“Our goal was simply to say thank you. This intimate setting allows us to be able to express our appreciation for all that our families do for Benjamin,” said Chief Development Officer Juan Carlos Fanjul ‘93. In addition to the Head’s Appreciation Dinner, donors have been invited to the Leadership Society reception, a cocktail hour for Leadership donors giving $3,000 or more in the 2018-2019 school year. The reception will be held at the home of Jason and Jaime Brown in November.
