Sophomore Donating Meals To First Responders

Benjamin sophomore Max Gelinas and his brother Gavin started the fundraiser “Generous Portions” to raise money to provide meals to local first responders. The philanthropic pair has raised more than $5,000 to buy nearly 400 meals for frontline workers at local hospitals including Jupiter Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Recipients of their generosity have also include the Jupiter Police Department and local fire rescue stations. Max told WPTV News Channel 5 that he not only wanted to help first responders, but aid local restaurants.

“The ones that are struggling during this tough shut down. We just wanted to help them out," Gavin told Channel 5.
