US Paper Launches Digital News Site

Upper school newspaper The Pharcyde launched a new website to serve as the paper’s digital home. The site provides readers with news, features, editorials, and sports articles curated by the upper school newspaper staff. Several of the articles will appear only digitally, while other pieces will be pulled from the print version of the paper.

“Moving forward, ThePharcyte.com will let you keep track of sports scores, breaking news events, and more timely coverage of national, local, and school happenings,” said newspaper advisor and upper school English teacher Dr. John Peruggia.  “We're also supporting arts and media at the Upper School. ThePharcyte.com gives us the ability to host student art galleries (The Gallery) and student-made video and audio pieces.”

Head Of Upper School Fletcher Carr praised the paper’s evolution and new digital presence.

“Thanks to Dr. Peruggia and The Pharcyde editors and staff for their excellent work in getting this site off the ground. The Pharcyte will be an exciting option for community news, ideas, student work, and Upper School dialogue - a perfectly fitting complement to our award-winning school paper,” said Carr.
