Senior Attends Max Planck Symposium

Biannually Max Planck of Florida hosts Sunposium which brings together 400 world-renowned researchers from around the globe to share the latest advances and research in neural circuits—which underlie neurological diseases that interfere with sensory processing and memory.

Senior Keira Hodum attended the event at the Palm Beach County Convention Center and has been traveling to Max Planck all year as part of an ongoing research internship.

“Her contribution to Dr. Sarah Stern's research ‘Insular cortex circuits mediating flexible feeding behaviors’ proved invaluable,” said upper school science teacher Renee Szeliga.

“Keira was rubbing elbows with leading scientists in the neurosciences!,” she said.
