Benjamin Wins Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Award

The Benjamin School’s athletic program was recognized for an outstanding year with the Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Award. Schools are awarded points based on their finish in FHSAA State Series competition in each sport. Schools receive a 2-point bonus for winning a district or regional championship and points are deducted for unsportsmanlike conduct.

“This is a huge honor and recognition for the School and our athletic program. It’s a testament to our athletic programs and a reflection of the School’s commitment to all of Benjamin’s athletic teams and coaches,” said Director of Athletics Ryan Smith ‘93.

Benjamin received a score of 99 in the Class 4A/3A Private category, edging out Providence School of Jacksonville who received 95.8 points.
