Summer Message from The Head of School

Dear Benjamin School Parents,

As I write to you at this time, I hope summer has already made good on its promise to bring you and your children a breath of renewal and that relaxing sense of a job well done with all of its much deserved intrinsic as well as extrinsic rewards now yours to enjoy. As we stop to recount this remarkable school year, individual student academic achievements in all three divisions as well as 1st Place status in so many of our extra-curricular competitions locally, regionally and in the state of Florida are simply too voluminous to embrace all at once. I have spent much of the late spring behind a microphone regaling this level of accomplishment in athletics, music, literature, visual arts, engineering, world languages, TV and video production, theater, Upper School and Middle School student newspapers, Palm Beach Post Awards, Pathfinder Scholarship Competition, and quite notably this year, college matriculation.

Personal classroom performance tied to outstanding success in all other areas brought national recognition to our school in college acknowledgment. An exceptional number of 36 student-athletes were invited to commit to their Upper School sport at the college or university of their choice! Twenty-eight of those students were members of our Senior Class.  Many of the most highly competitive colleges in the nation sought these Benjamin students in this highly selective process. Our 18 newly inducted scholars into the Cum Laude Society have accepted admission to many of the most prestigious universities and programs recognized in the United States. Please view the attachments to this email celebrating these triumphs.  Thirdly, the last attachment extols many of the colleges and universities known to be among the very finest in the country that have accepted members of our Senior Class this year. This Palm Beach Post advertisement also reports on the millions of dollars offered our graduates in scholarship dollars this year as well as the many thousands of hours accumulated in community service by this Class.

In observing so many of these young people grow from childhood to adulthood, I could not be more proud of the strides they have made in becoming the type of citizens--kind, careful, helpful and loyal--that we see in them today. To the parents of our students of all ages at Benjamin, congratulations on choosing to have the very productive influence on your children that builds the level of character we take so seriously in all aspects of our program.

Please accept my best wishes for a safe and joyful summer!

With appreciation for all of your support of our faculty, staff and administration,

Bob Goldberg
Head of School
