Benjamin Fourth Grade Class Attends Grand Opening for New Science Exhibit
Benjamin School fourth graders attended the grand opening celebration for the South Florida Science Center’s new Fisher Family Trail. The Trail spans five acres and features 15 interactive exhibits including gem mining, shark tooth excavation and a “physics forest” where guest can learn about motion and energy. The students were the first to experience the new trail.
Zosia Freedman and Colin Gelnaw said they loved being part of the grand opening.
“Our favorite part was finding crystals in the gem mine. We also enjoyed looking for shark's teeth in the sand pit. Overall, we had a great experience at the South Florida Science Museum,” said Freedman and Gelnaw.
The expansion is one of a handful of new projects the Science Center is undertaking.
