Seniors Welcome HHRC Students During Annual 'Bunny Hop'

Preschool students from the Hispanic Human Resources Council Child Development Centers spent the morning of April 16 enjoying a variety of spring activities with Benjamin seniors. The students were invited to the upper school for the annual “Bunny Hop” celebration. More than 100 special guests enjoyed the morning of festivities which included an egg hunt, pony rides, a petting zoo and bounce house. The students also enjoyed activities in the gym and a photo with the Easter Bunny.

Faculty advisor John Peruggia, who coordinates the Bunny Hop, says it's a great tradition for the senior class.

“The Bunny Hop offers seniors a way to conclude their school-organized service through an event that reminds them of the optimism and hope that resides within the youngest of students. In a way, it is a not-so-subtle way of showing them just how much they've grown since they too were Little Wonders so many years ago,” Peruggia said.

The celebration was the final community service event of the year for the senior class.
