Upper School Offers Two International Travel Experiences

The Upper School is offering two unique international travel experiences for students this year. Upper School Performing Arts Department Chair Sara Salivar and English/Drama teacher Tom Bazar are leading students on an educational adventure in Scotland.

The group will travel to Edinburgh on August 1, where they will explore important historic sites, discover the diversity and heritage of Scotland, and attend the Edinburgh International Festival. The trip, taking place during the first week of August, will afford students the opportunity to earn three college credits.

The group is traveling with WorldStrides and will experience the Scottish Highlands, Loch Ness, Fort William and Edinburgh.

Upper School students will also have the opportunity to join Dr. Hope Myers, Social Studies teacher, on an unforgettable service trip to Costa Rica in March. The group will travel with Led2Serve, a non-profit organization which mobilizes students and groups for service experiences. Students will serve at locations including Santa Teresa Norte School, Hacienda Rio Cote Reforestation, and the community of Nuevo Arenal with a focus on sustainability, indigenous agriculture and sustainable dairy production.
