Library & Media Center Renovation Planned

Bold, new, and fresh are just some of the words used when talking about the all-new Lower/Middle School Library and Media Center. School administrators sat down with designers to choose colors, fabrics, and textures for the new furniture that will transform the current space. The innovative furniture includes a roving circulation desk, several stadium style soft seating pieces, and lounge-style sofas. All pieces are modular so the space can be used for community events.

“What really sets this newly imagined library and media center apart are the innovative spaces within the facility. We have a TEDx-like presentation stage, an interactive forum for students to video conference other schools, and a brainstorming lounge, in addition to the new middle school production studio,” said Chief Development Officer Juan Carlos Fanjul ‘93. The renovation begins this summer and the new Library and Media center will open in time for the 2020-2021 school year.

The cost of the renovation is estimated at $385,000, and several naming opportunities are still available. For more information, please contact Chief Development Officer Juan Carlos Fanjul ‘93 at 561-472-3480 or juancarlos.fanjul@thebenjaminschool.org.
