Hollywood Producer Fenton '89 Authors Memoir

Benjamin alumnus Chris Fenton '89 has spent close to two decades serving as president of DMG Entertainment Motion Picture Group and GM of DMG North America, a multi-billion dollar global media company headquartered in Beijing.

Fenton, who has produced or supervised over 20 films, chronicles his life in Hollywood in his debut memoir Feeding The Dragon: Inside The Trillion Dollar Dilemma Facing Hollywood, the NBA, & American Business.

Feeding The Dragon offers readers a behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood’s relationship with China including dealing with major American brands like Disney, Marvel, and the NBA.

Fast Company contributor Jamie Bryan, describes Fenton’s tome as an “insider-level perspective decades in the making. And Fenton names names, including captivating details about Robert Downey Jr., LeBron James, Kurt Cobain, and Michael Phelps.

“Chris often told me about projects and plans off-the-record that I wouldn’t have reported on anyway, because they all seemed wildly improbable. Every single one came true. And now they’re all down on the page,” said Bryan.

Fenton regularly speaks as an expert on US-China relations and serves as CEO of Media Capital Technologies. The Cornell University graduate is a Trustee of the US-Asia Institute and resides with his wife and two children in California.
