MS Students Study Microscopy During STEM Lab

Middle School STEM Coordinator Matt Oster and his 8th grade STEM class of both virtual and in-person learners have been hard at work studying microscopy. Students engaged in making and sharing stained wet mount slides of everything from epidermal cells, to epithelial cells, larval mosquitoes, brine shrimp, and a specimen of choice from their own homes!

Oster said that along with brick and mortar students, he was able to encapsulate virtual students using AVer, Zoom, and Facetime abilities.

“Benjamin has done a wonderful job providing a viable Hybrid technological learning environment,” said Oster. “We are looking forward to future STEM experiments throughout the year.”
