Benjamin Community Donates Over 1 Ton Of Food To Families In Need
The Benjamin School community collected over one ton of food to be donated to families across Palm Beach County during the School’s annual Thanksgiving food drive. Students, faculty, and staff across all three divisions collected non-perishable items to benefit CROS Food Bank and Youth Recreation League.
“For a small school like ours, this kind of generosity is astounding,” said Head Of School Dave Faus.
Head of Middle School Charles Hagy, whose division played an integral role in organizing the drive, said the sizable donation was a crucial resource for families during a difficult time.
Susan Poncy, Director of Student Services praised the school community for its generosity which included an additional 300 meals that were donated to St. George’s Center in Riviera Beach.
“Once again, The Benjamin School community stepped up and made a difference. In a time when an estimated 64,000 children in our county alone are food vulnerable, these efforts are more important than ever,” said Poncy.
