Alumni Association Hosts Inaugural Golf Tournament

The Benjamin School Alumni Association hosted an inaugural golf classic the morning of October 25. Alumni, current parents, and favorite TBS coaches took to the course at PGA National for 18 holes to benefit the school.

The event was followed by a reception where Head of School Dave Faus presented trophies to first place net and gross teams and prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.

Alex Vogelsong ‘19, whose jersey was recently retired during the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony, won longest drive. Board Chair Darren Lowe was recognized for getting closest to the pin, and JV boys golf coach Alex Wyriek took home the trophy for longest putt.

Chief Development Officer Juan Carlos Fanjul ‘93 said the day was a tremendous success for the school.

“"We live in the golf capital of the world and it had been a while since we had a tournament. The Golf Classic sponsored by The Alumni Association is the perfect way to continue to build community and gather our local alumni, parents, grandparents and friends of the School for a fun outing," said Fanjul.
