6 Varsity Teams Capture District Championships
Six varsity teams captured District Championships this Fall during a tremendously successful athletic season at Benjamin.
“Our fall athletic teams had an incredible season with multiple teams winning district championships and advancing to state championship events and games,” said Athletic Director Ryan Smith ‘93.
Varsity girls swimming, girls cross country, girls volleyball, girls golf, boys cross country, and boys golf all claimed District Championships. Varsity football was named Regional Runners-up. Five varsity athletes - Sarah Napier (diving), Alex Fleming Lake (200 IM), Caden Quinn (50 Free), Andie Smith (Girls Golf), and Pavel Tsar (Boys Golf), all captured Individual District Championships.
“This will end up being one of the more successful fall seasons we have had in the history of the school,” said Smith.
Girls Volleyball advanced to the Regional Championship along with Andie Smith ‘22 who captured both a Regional and State Championship in golf.
