Chuck Hagy Named Randolph Award Recipient

The Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians and Jews held their annual fellowship dinner honoring Head of Middle School Chuck Hagy the evening of March 16 at The Breakers. 

The annual dinner and 30th anniversary celebration featured a warm welcome from Board Chair John. C. Randolph. 

“Our mission is, indeed, broader than our name implies for we stand against all forms of wrongful discrimination, bigotry and hate, no matter one’s faith, race, nationality, ethnicity, ancestry, or gender,” said Randolph.

Vice-Chair of the Board Maggie Ziedman presented Hagy with the 2022 John. C. Randolph Award for his more than 30 years of tireless advocacy and work as an educator who has developed meaningful Holocaust education curricula, promoted green initiatives, and pursued professional development opportunities for faculty. The chair of the Fellowship's Education Committee, Hagy was selected to participate in the Alfred Lerner Fellowship and Advanced Seminar programs, receiving a "World of Difference Award" from the Anti-Defamation League of Florida. Under his leadership, the Benjamin middle school has received a "No Place For Hate" designation from the ADL for the past five years.

The Fellowship’s mission includes promoting fellowship, understanding, and respect among all religions and cultures; bringing the community together through education, dialogue, and interaction; and addressing issues rooted in intolerance, anti-semitism, and unjust discrimination. 

The award presentation was followed by remarks from New York Times best-selling author and guest speaker Brad Meltzer.
