Senior Corpus Named To Dairy Farmers All-State Team

Senior Ingrid Corpus was named to the FHSAA’s 29th Annual Florida Dairy Farmers Academic All-STate Team. Corpus, along with 23 other outstanding student-athletes across the state, was recognized for both academic and athletic excellence.

"Ingrid is a dedicated student-athlete.  She is humble, hard-working, and goal-oriented.  Ingrid balances her studies, practices, games, and extra training with grace.  Her smile never falters, and she is always willing to lend a helping hand,” said Assistant Athletic Director Alex Clarke.

An Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction, Corpus maintains a 4.0 GPA and was a National Merit Semifinalist. During her high school athletics career, she has earned varsity letters in basketball, cross country, track & field, and volleyball. Corpus was named to the Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Second Team for Cross Country her senior year and received a Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Honorable Mention for Track and Field her junior year. Her extracurriculars include president of Spanish Club, the Florida State Spanish Conference, Yale Model United Nations, and the president of Students with the Ability to Tutor Club. She has accumulated over 150 community service hours by volunteering with local organizations and plans to study international relations in the fall.

“The hardworking men and women of Florida’s dairy industry are honored to recognize the significant accomplishments of these amazing student-athletes,” said Florida Dairy Farmers CEO, Michele Cooper in a press release about the awards. “We’re excited to support a program that has a great tradition of encouraging excellence on the field and in the classroom and we’re proud to support students that have the special mix of work ethic and determination required to succeed at both.”

To be eligible for the award, students must be a graduating senior with a minimum 3.5 unweighted grade point average and earned a minimum of two varsity letters in at least two different sports during their junior and senior year.

“We are so proud of Ingrid and all that she has accomplished here at TBS and beyond.  She is a remarkable young lady,” said Clarke.
