2nd Grade Enjoys Picnic At Upper School

Second graders had “the best day ever” at the upper school where they enjoyed a picnic lunch and field games led by Benjamin high school students.

Second grade student Lincoln Wilber said it was the best day spending time at the high school and playing games with the “big kids.”

The class of 70, clad in tie-dyed shirts they made in anticipation of the occasion, were all smiles on their first field trip of the year.

Head of Lower School Dr. Kristen Sheehan said the cross-divisional event is one of her favorites of the year.

“It’s wonderful to be able to give our second grade students the opportunity to interact with our older grades and get a taste of what our upper school campus looks and feels like. I enjoy traveling with them every year on this field trip and am actively brainstorming additional opportunities for our other lower school Buccaneers,” she said.
