'Girls Who Code' Club Travels To ZimVie HQ

Members of the upper school’s Girls Who Code Club traveled to the local headquarters of ZimVie Corporation in Palm Beach Gardens for a day of hands-on science activities.

ZimVie, a global leader in dental implants and spine innovations, has formed a partnership with the school through their WIN program; a community to support the efforts of women throughout their company. The opportunity includes mentorship for Benjamin’s female Computer Science and Engineering students, including site tours of their manufacturing facility, shadowing opportunities, internships and jobs.

"It is very important to provide a support network to encourage traditionally underrepresented groups to pursue STEM programs. The WIN group at ZimVie recognizes the importance of this, and their corporate culture affords them the time and resources to plan and execute supportive programs like this one,” said upper school computer science teacher Richard Soviero who spearheads the partnership. “I hope it is the first in a long list of events where TBS can partner with the women from ZimVie."
