Senior Wins 'Best Actress' Award

Senior Katherine Rodgers was honored with a Cappie award for Best Leading Actress in a play for her work in this year’s Fall production of Lisa Loomer’s Distracted.

“Anyone who saw her work in Distracted knows how special her performance was,” said upper school theater director Jason Peck.

The Fall production received three nominations for this year’s Cappies Awards including Best Play. The Cappies is a program that trains students to become theatrical journalists by reviewing and adjudicating high school production from all over South Florida. The schools that participate are among some of the most prestigious high school theater programs across South Florida.
