Faculty And Staff Honored At Annual Back To School Luncheon

Head of School Bob Goldberg welcomed faculty and staff on August 9 to the beginning of a new academic year. Goldberg warmly greeted faculty and staff at the annual Back to School luncheon in Benjamin Hall. Division Heads Fletcher Carr (Upper School), Charles Hagy (Middle School) and Dr. Kristen Sheehan (Lower School) joined Goldberg on stage to welcome new members of the Benjamin community and award outstanding long serving faculty and staff.

The awards ceremony culminated with Goldberg’s presentation of the Peter and Jody Graham Distinguished Teaching Award to Middle School World Language Department Chair Marci York. The teaching award provides an annual teacher stipend to recognize and reward demonstrated excellence in teaching. The award was established in 2005 by Mrs. Robert Myers and the Myers family in honor of former Head of School Peter Graham and his wife Jody Graham. The Head of School also presented Financial Aid Administrator Pam Didio and Assistant Director of Admission Cherie Fromson, with the Bank of America Distinguished Service Award. The Bank of America award provides a stipend to a faculty or staff member who has exemplified dedication, hard work and loyalty to the school.
