Divisions Continue Hurricane Relief Efforts

Lower and middle school students are continuing their efforts to aid those affected by this season’s hurricanes. First graders collected cans of peanut butter and jelly to be transported to the Keys, fourth graders collected toiletries and the Middle School collected Flip Flops. The items were brought to Marathon and given away to residents of the Keys.

Third grader Phoebe Apple collected supplies for hurricane victims in lieu of birthday presents.

“All of the kids and parents were so generous with their donations. It was great for Phoebe and all the kids to see the large pile of items that they accumulated! We were very proud of Phoebe for realizing she didn't need 30 presents from her friends while so many kids and families lost everything,” said Phoebe’s mother Sharon.

Both divisions will continue collecting donations throughout the school year as part of their school-wide community service project for the 2017-18 school year.
