National Honor Society Inducts 27 New Members

The National Honor Society welcomed 27 new members into The Benjamin School Chapter during the 2017-2018 school year. The fall and spring candlelight ceremonies, lead by faculty NHS advisor Sara Misselhorn and NHS Officers, were held in Benjamin Hall.

“We were pleased to welcome a great class of inductees into NHS this year. These  students strive to push themselves academically with stringent classes, they also excel in the field, on the court, or on the stage. They are leaders in classes, on campus and in the community. They have demonstrated a high commitment to community service, and possess fine character. In fact, they are so involved in so many aspects of the Benjamin School community, I don’t know when they find time to sleep!" faculty advisor Sara Misselhorn said.

Misselhorn said this year’s Chapter was very much a family affair.

“We had three sisters inducting their sisters - the Blains, the Houris and the Kretzs; one sister tapping her brother - the Baldaris; two brothers inducting their brothers - the Lamas, and the Lopes; and twins - the Martins.  Whether or not you are blood related, I believe we all consider ourselves family - this is a wonderful, supportive group of friends,” said Misselhorn.
