To use a personal owned iPad or iPhone while at school, the following steps will install the Securly certificates and allow those devices to successfully connect to our network. The procedure will install two certificates on your device which will allow for content filtering to work properly while at school. No traffic is monitored by the school while the students are off-campus.
Please follow these directions using Safari. Chrome (or other browsers) on an iPad or iPhone will not work.
Repeat steps 2 - 4 to install the second certificate on your iPad.
When both profiles are installed, you should see a screen similar to this in the Settings app in General > Profiles:
In the Settings app, navigate to General > About > Certificate Trust Settings
You should see both Securly certificates installed
Click the switch next to each certificate to trust them.
Congratulations! You are all done. Once the iPad connects to The School's WiFi network, internet access with content filtering will be enabled while at school.
The Benjamin School has Technology Offices on both the Lower/Middle School and Upper School campuses. Students can visit the Technology Office to receive support on any technology related issues. Our knowledgeable staff are available to answer questions and address any concerns you may have. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 3 pm.
