Benjamin sophomore Chancey Bowens was named the Palm Beach 5A-1A football offensive player of the year by the Sun Sentinel.
From The Sentinel:
"The Benjamin sophomore was a consistent producer, rushing for more than 100 yards in seven of the 10 games he played. He often showed up in the Buccaneers’ biggest games, rushing for 128 yards and a score against Miami Gulliver Prep, going for 135 and a touchdown against American Heritage-Delray, notching 182 rushing yards and a touchdown against eventual Class 2A state runner up Hialeah Champagnat Catholic and rushing for 175 yards and a season-high four touchdowns against rival King’s Academy."
