Varsity Golf Coach Harbeck Named Coach Of The Year

Varsity Golf Coach Toby Harbeck was named Coach of the Year by The Palm Beach Post. Nine varsity boys golf players were also named to The Post's All-Area teams.

Freshman Brooks Colton, Senior Travis Robertson, and Freshman Charlie Woods were named to The Post’s First Team. Senior Aiden Miller, Junior Jack Nicoletta, and Senior Luke Wise were named to the Second Team.

Athletic Director Ryan Smith ‘93 said these Post honors demonstrate the county and statewide respect for the depth of talent on the team.

“We are so proud of Coach Harbeck and his team for an incredible season . . . This is one of many times Coach Harbeck has been named Palm Beach Post Coach of the Year. It is another very due recognition for his outstanding Florida Athletic Coaches Association and Benjamin School Athletic Hall of Fame career,” said Smith.

Harbeck, who has coached at Benjamin for over 40 years, led the varsity team to their fourth state title in the school’s history where they came back to win on the final two holes after being down going into the final nine.

“The FHSAA state championship win was a display of tremendous teamwork, perseverance, and grit,” said Smith.
