We welcome alumnus Juan Carlos Fanjul as our new Chief Development Officer to The Benjamin School community!

"Filling the spot of our top fundraising position, Juan Carlos arrives with as diverse a set of educational and professional credentials as we could have ever anticipated. A Benjamin School alumnus of the Class of 1993, he pursued his undergraduate education at Boston College. He then embarked on a sixteen-year career as an award-winning television journalist in West Palm Beach, Miami and Chicago. His multiple awards include an Emmy for Best Reporter in the Chicago area and several Associated Press awards as well. Locally, some of you may have followed him as a prime news anchor on WPEC-CBS 12 in West Palm Beach.
Our newly hired Chief Development Officer most recently comes to us as the Vice President for Major Gifts and Planned Giving at United Way of Palm Beach County. His impressive portfolio there includes large major gifts with high net worth individuals. Juan Carlos oversaw the department that increased revenue at United Way for several years in a row, enabling the organization to help 1-in-5 residents. His success throughout his career is borne of a natural and genuine ability with people, a refined set of relationship-building skills, an engaging personality and a strong commitment to advance organizations whose mission is to help others. He will be of unparalleled counsel to us as well as the School’s media specialist." - Bob Goldberg, Head of School
