Babson College President Speaks to Benjamin Students

Dr. Kerry Healey is the newly appointed president of Babson College, and will assume her new role July 1. The former lieutenant governor of Massachusetts will be the first woman to  lead the college and is a major advocate for the expansion of women's rights, human rights and higher education in Afghanistan.
Dr. Healey led a broad range of initiatives as lieutenant governor, including efforts to combat drunken driving and homelessness, in addition to increasing penalties for perpetrators of child abuse, gang violence, sexual assault and domestic violence. She also partnered with Gov. Mitt Romney to craft health care reform legislation.
Prior to entering public service, Dr. Healey worked for more than a decade as public policy consultant to the U.S. Department of Justice for the Cambridge-based think tank, Abt Associates, Inc. 

Dr. Healey holds an A.B. in Government from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Political Science and Law from Trinity College, Dublin.
