Buccaneer Sports Teams Wrap Up Impressive Fall Season

It’s been an exciting Fall season for Benjamin athletics, with multiple teams advancing to state and regional finals.

"It has been an incredible fall athletic season for The Benjamin School. Multiple teams won district and regional FHSAA championships, and some teams advanced to the FHSAA state championship level. We are so very proud of our student-athletes, coaches and teams," said Athletic Director Ryan Smith '93.

  • The volleyball team defeated Riviera Prep in the FHSAA state semifinals to advance to the FHSAA state finals at the University of North Florida.
  • The football team defeated Everglades Prep in the FHSAA regional semifinals, advanced to the FHSAA regional finals.
  • The girls varsity golf team wrapped up their season with a 4th place finish at the FHSAA state championships, earning a #31 ranking in the country. Boys golf placed 8th at the state championships. Girls JV golf had an undefeated season!
  • Four Buccaneer swimmers participated in the FHSAA state swim meet, including Alessandra Baldari who earned an All-American distinction for her 100 Fly and 200 IM.
  • Girls cross country made it to regionals and boys cross country to the state meet.
  • Eleven Benjamin seniors signed an NCAA letter of intent. The student-athletes are committed to a varied and impressive list of colleges and universities to play their respective sports.
