The senior class of 2025 was honored for their years of achievement during the school’s 47th annual commencement ceremony in Benjamin Hall the evening of May 17.
Families, faculty, and friends filled the audience for the capstone ceremony as the graduating class of 2025 crossed the stage one final time to receive their diplomas, marking the culmination of years of academic, athletic, and artistic achievement and dedication.
The ceremony opened with a moving speech by Student Council President Vanessa Zito.
“Time, as it always seems to do, has snuck up on us,” she said. “While this ceremony only lasts for 90 minutes, it’s a celebration of years of dedication that is a testament to our growth—not just as students but as individuals ready to embrace the unknown of the next chapter.”
Zito went on to highlight the impressive accomplishments of the graduating class, including admissions to over 160 colleges and universities, multiple state championship titles in sports, and the founding of numerous clubs and organizations that have left a lasting legacy on campus.
“Benjamin isn’t just a school—it’s been my second home for the past 15 years,” Zito shared. “It’s given me everything I love and taught me everything I know ... This place is woven into who I am. My earliest memories were formed here, and now so too are my latest. Leaving is hardest when what you’re leaving behind is rare."
Head of School Mr. David Faus and Board Chair Mrs. Sasha Klein offered congratulatory remarks, acknowledging the collective effort of the students, faculty, and families in reaching this milestone.
Valedictorian Tommy Sini and Salutatorians Fletcher Kaneb and Anthony Viverito also offered parting words to the senior class, reflecting on their individual journeys at Benjamin that brought them to the podium.
Assistant Head of School Dr. Kristen Sheehan presented the Founders’ Cup Awards to Kate Hilzenrath and Chester Coles, for their embodiment of the “ideals upon which Benjamin was founded.”
Head of Upper School Fletcher Carr then presented diplomas to the Class of 2025.
