After Care And Enrichment

The After School Program or ACE as we like to call it, allows students to indulge in their hobbies and interests. Classes include Tumbling, Art, Cooking, Sports and so much more! Because courses are offered on different days, students can choose a variety of Enrichment classes each semester.

  • What is After-School Late Pick up?

    New After-School Late Pick-Up Option!

    Beginning August 19, we will offer an additional Late Pick-Up option for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. This option allows students to remain in Aftercare from dismissal until 4:15 p.m.
    During this extended pick-up window, students will remain with their ACE grade-level groups and participate in:
    • Outdoor play
    • Snack time
    • Dedicated homework time
    At 4:15 p.m., all Late Pick-Up students will be escorted to the Green Dot area for dismissal. Pick-up will only be available through the Green Dot drive-thru at this designated time.
    This option is intended for families who need a short extension after dismissal and would like their child to remain safely supervised in the ACE program until 4:15 p.m.
    Important Information:
    • If your child needs care after 4:15 p.m., they must be registered for the full ACE program.
    • Students in WOW or PreK must be registered for the full ACE program and are not eligible for the Late Pick-Up option.
    • If your WOW or PreK student has a sibling enrolled in Late Pick-Up, we can bring your younger student to the 4:15 p.m. Green Dot dismissal upon your request.
    The 9-week Late Pick-Up option is $800.00. This program provides care until 4:15 p.m. Students must be picked up by 4:15 p.m.; early pick-up is always welcome.

  • What is ACE?

    The After-School Care and Enrichment (ACE) program at The Benjamin School serves students in WOW through Grade 5, providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment after the regular school day. ACE operates from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. on full school days.
    Students enrolled in ACE enjoy a variety of supervised activities, including:
    • Outdoor play
    • A daily snack
    • Dedicated homework time
    • Age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities led by trained ACE counselors
    ACE is a pre-registered program and is not available on a drop-in basis. Families may register on an annual, semester (Fall, Winter, or Spring), or monthly basis. To ensure appropriate staffing and maintain a safe environment, daily and drop-in registration options are not available.
    All students participating in ACE are expected to follow the rules, policies, and behavioral expectations outlined in The Benjamin School Student-Parent Handbook.

    ACE Pick-Up Procedures

    All ACE dismissals take place at the Green Dot through the new white gate located off McLaren Road on the south side of campus. The gate is located on the east side of the Jenkins Lower School Office Building.
    Upon arrival:
    • Press the intercom button.
    • Provide the following information:
    • Your child's name
    • Your assigned car line number
    • Your relationship to the student
    • A staff member will radio for your child.
    • After entering campus, your child will meet you in the brick-paved area beneath the white awning.

    Enrichment Program Information 2026-2027

    Student Procedures

    As part of our ACE Program, Enrichment classes provide students in WOW through Grade 5 with opportunities to explore new interests and develop new skills in a fun, structured environment.
    • WOW–Kindergarten: Students are escorted directly to their Enrichment class at dismissal. (WOW Enrichment classes begin in January 2027.)
    • Grades 1–5: Students report to Aftercare, where they are signed in, receive a snack, have time to begin homework, and are then escorted to their Enrichment class.
    There is no charge for Aftercare supervision prior to Enrichment classes. If your child requires supervision after Enrichment, ACE registration is required.

    Enrichment Pick-Up

    At the conclusion of each Enrichment class, the Aftercare Coordinator, Aftercare Associate, or club instructor will escort students to the designated dismissal area at Green Dot. For everyone's safety, please remain in your vehicle during pick-up while staff assist students into their cars.Please review the Enrichment schedule for your child's dismissal time and plan to pick up your child within 15 minutes of the end of their activity. PK4-K dismissal 3:20pm and 1st-5th dismissal 4:15pm

    Registration

    • Online registration opens Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
    • Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and enrollment is limited.
    • Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment requirement by the start date may be canceled.
    • Registration and payment are completed online. Families will be notified when registration opens via email.

    Enrichment Sessions

    The Benjamin School's Enrichment Program is offered four times during the school year as part of our ACE Program:
    • Two Fall sessions (August 24-October 15th) and (October 19th-December 10th)
    • One Winter session (January 5-March 18th)
    • One Spring session (March 30th-May 20th)

    Important Policies

    • Enrichment classes are not held on days when school is closed.
    • Students who miss all or part of the regular school day due to absence are not eligible to attend Enrichment classes that day.
    • The Benjamin School Enrichment Program maintains a no-refund and no-schedule-change policy.
    • Make-up classes will be offered only for instructor- or school-initiated cancellations and are provided solely at the discretion of the instructor and the Director.
    • No refunds or credits will be issued for classes missed due to illness, student conduct, holidays, personal scheduling conflicts, or inclement weather.

    Early Pick-Up or Instructor Communication: If you need to pick up your child early or would like to speak with an Enrichment instructor, please contact the Enrichment Office before arriving. Enrichment Office: Courtney Fleuridor 561-472-3107
