Attendance

When a student is unable to attend school because of health reasons or an emergency, parents/guardians should call the School Nurse to report the student’s absence at:
      Lower/Middle School
Upper School
561.472.3427
561.472.3448

If a student is absent 3 days or more or has a communicable disease, a note from the child's physician will be required upon return.

When to keep your child home:

Children need to be healthy to learn. They should have adequate sleep and a good breakfast before school. If your child shows any of the following signs, he/she should be kept home.
  • Fever 100.4 or higher in the past 24 hours without the use of a fever-reducing agent such as Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen.
  • Vomiting in the past 24 hours.
  • Diarrhea in the past 24 hours.
  • Undiagnosed Rash.
  • Frequent uncontrolled cough.
  • An open or oozing sore: unless it is properly covered with a bandage that will not leak wound drainage while at school.
  • Strep Throat - must be on antibiotics for 24 hours.
  • Conjunctivitis (Pinkeye) must be on antibiotic eye drops for 24 hours.
