Artists Dazzle At Winter Music Festival

Benjamin school musicians and vocalists captivated the Benjamin community during the annual Winter Music Festival presented in Benjamin Hall. The rollicking holiday performance entertained the audience with an exciting mix of vocal and instrumental pieces.

The middle school performance and string ensemble began the show by performing the school’s alma mater written by Mark Poncy.

Guests were treated to performances by the upper school chorus, chamber ensemble, and concert band, directed by music teacher Mrs. Kirkland Austin for the first time.

The middle school Strings ensemble, performance ensemble, and third grade strings ensemble all performed festive holiday numbers. The upper and middle school ensembles joined forces for a festive holiday sing-along with the audience.

“I love the fact that we bring each division together at the holidays to celebrate the season from the perspectives of both our youngest and oldest students,” said Head of Upper School Fletcher Carr. “That broad blend of voices is important for our students and parents to hear.”
