Bucs Win Class 2A FHSAA Sunshine Cup Awards
The results are in! We are proud to be the Class 2A winners of the Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Award, presented by the Florida High School Athletic Association. Points are awarded to a school based on its finish in FHSAA State Series competition in each sport in the classification in which it has been assigned to compete. The Buccaneers are winners in the Overall, Boys, and Girls categories.
Athletic Director Ryan Smith '93 said the school is incredibly proud of all who contributed to the athletic department sweeping the awards.
"Most notably, we want to thank and acknowledge our coaches and student-athletes who worked tirelessly, committed themselves to excellence, and represented the school with integrity," he said. "This is truly a great honor for The Benjamin School. We are elated and beaming with Buc Pride! Go Bucs!"
