COVID-19 Update 8/12/2022

August 12, 2022

Dear Members of The Benjamin School Community,

Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced streamlined guidance for the management of COVID-19. As stated by the CDC, “if you have COVID-19, you can spread the virus to others. There are precautions you can take to prevent spreading it to others: isolation, masking, and avoiding contact with people who are at high risk of getting very sick.”

The health and safety of our community remain our top priority. Our professional team will continue to clean and disinfect our campuses each day. All members of the community are welcome to wear school-appropriate masks on campus. The best way to ensure a healthy campus is to keep your children home from school when they are sick. Students with symptoms of any illness must remain at home until those symptoms have resolved. We encourage evaluation by your physician for any healthcare decisions.

Those who receive positive test results for COVID-19 must follow the CDC’s recommendations for isolation which are available here . After the required isolation period and when symptoms have improved (no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications), a mask should be worn on campus through day 10.

Should you have questions, I encourage you to contact the nurses in our clinics:
