Dear Members of The Benjamin School Community,
As we prepare for the new school year, the COVID-19 Task Force has been monitoring local, state, and national news and mandates, including the Executive Order from Governor DeSantis issued last Friday. As COVID-19 positivity rates have steadily increased in our area, we have been reviewing our policies to create the safest campus environment for our community. We will communicate any updates to our policies sometime next week, and we are committed to reviewing these policies throughout the year.
In the meantime, we are adjusting plans for some upcoming events. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ice Cream Social, Lower School Admission Playdates, and Middle School Bowling Party have been postponed. The Lower School Open House, Middle School Orientation, and Upper School Orientation will continue with some modifications. Adjustments to other divisional events will be communicated from the divisional offices.
As we enter another school year with the pandemic at the forefront, I am reminded of the incredible ways our community has persevered over the last year and a half. Guided by compassion, kindness, and respect, the Benjamin community proved that our values are more than words on our steps and walkways; they are traits that we express in our daily actions. We appreciate your support and patience as we move through another set of challenges with regard to COVID-19.
