MS Science Chair Named Educator Of The Year

Middle School Science Department Chair Stephanie Oster was named the John Beakley Marine Science Educator of the Year. Oster was recognized for her commitment to science education during a virtual ceremony on May 4.

The award, given by the FMSEA, recognizes one marine science educator annually who has demonstrated dedication to promoting science in Florida. The award is named in honor of Beakley, a founding member of the organization and former marine science educator in Palm Beach County.

“Mrs. Oster is not only the best science teacher I know, she's one of the best people I know,” said Head of Middle School Charles Hagy. “ Her leadership in our STEM program engages students to solve problems based on the question, ‘What can we do to make our world a better place?’  With Stephanie Oster in charge of our science department, the opportunities for our students are endless.”
