Student-Athletes Named To PB Post/Sentinel Teams

A tremendous number of Benjamin student-athletes were honored for their athletic achievements and named to All-Area sports teams by The Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel.

The Sentinel named sophomore football star Chauncey Bowens Defensive Player of the Year and Senior Andie Smith, who will be taking her talent to Duke University in the Fall, Golfer of the Year.

Varsity Volleyball coach Alex Clarke and golf coach Toby Harbeck were both named Coaches of the Year by the Sentinel for their outstanding coaching throughout the Fall season. The Post also honored Harbeck with the same accolade.

Football standouts Tyler Aronson, Chauncey Bowens, and Dalton Lyons were all nominated as Player of the Year by the Post along with golfers James Key, Pavel Tsar, Andie Smith, and Gabby DeGasperis. Payton Bryan was also nominated for volleyball. Athletes of the Year will be announced at an awards banquet in the Spring.

Athletic Director Ryan Smith ‘93 said he is proud of what these student-athletes and coaches have accomplished and is looking forward to the Spring sports to come in 2022.
