It was a spectacular evening of entertainment at the Eissey Theatre as the Benjamin Dance Ensembles directed by Sara Salivar (Upper School) and Rachel Rudner (Middle School) took center stage and presented stellar performances for the evening audience at the May 3 year-end dance concert - The Language of Dance.
Middle and upper school dance students and members of the divisions’ dance teams performed a variety of dance styles for students, parents, faculty, and guests, including ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and tap. TBS vocalists and upper school instrumentalists directed by Dr. Alexander Nagy also entertained the audience with accompanying performances.
Guests also enjoyed a special vocal performance by alumna Jill Nicklaus, an accomplished Broadway performer, whose professional career spans 20 years in theatre, film and television. “Jill brings a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm for theatre," said Salivar. "Our students were thrilled to perform alongside the former TBS student and Broadway star."
