Chinese Club Makes Traditional Meal for Quantum House Residents

Members of the Chinese Culture Club traveled to Quantum House in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they served traditional Chinese cuisine to those staying at the House. Quantum House provides a caring and supportive home environment that lessens the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition.

Co-presidents Nicolas Lama and Emily Horgen taught members how to cook traditional Chinese dishes like pork and cabbage dumplings, sesame chicken and eggs with tomatoes. Lama says it was exciting to actually make the dishes at Quantum House for people to enjoy.

“It was truly a fun and educational experience for all Chinese Culture Club members, Chinese exchange students and American students alike, and based on the many compliments and thanks we got from the Quantum House’s guests, a great success,” says Lama.

Dean of Students Dean Ball accompanied the club, led by faculty advisor and Chinese teacher Lei Cohen.
