Spanish Book Author Visits Middle School
Fanny Gutierrez Johnson, a former Univision anchor and book author visited Benjamin middle school spanish students on February 27. Johnson shared her new book Brillito with Diana Rios’ World Language class. The students, including Johnson’s nephew Cade Crisafi, enjoyed the opportunity to host a native Spanish speaker.
“Mrs. Gutierrez Johnson not only read the book in Spanish, but also discussed with the students the character values that she wanted to express through her book - character values that we all encourage in The Benjamin School community. The students were very proud and excited, and had a lot of fun practicing their Spanish,” said Rios.
